For this project, the owner wanted to give his 1960s duplex kitchen a whole new look. He wanted a modern kitchen, with high-quality materials.
With the help of a kitchen designer, he chose a modern yet inviting look by getting two-tone cabinets to make the space look and feel bigger. The cabinets are shaker style, with flat molding all around. Additional cabinetry was also added to the dining area, creating extra storage. Besides extra cabinetry, the homeowner also opted for a coffee bar with glass pane cabinet doors, allowing him to showcase his glassware and mugs. For the backsplash, they went with white metro-style wall tiles. Though, they are slightly different from the traditional ones as they are wider. The countertops are made of stone. They provide added aesthetic but are also great in terms of durability.
