An elegant and welcoming open-concept transformation

The kitchen is the heart of the home: it’s where meals are created and memories are made. The Venditti family wanted to create a warm and inviting gathering place using an open concept layout and a lighter colour palette. To achieve their dream kitchen, they hired a Verified Contractor and an interior designer through RenoAssistance.

First, the contractors removed a non-load-bearing wall to open up the space. Then, they demolished the original kitchen so that they could start with a clean slate.

Before renovation, the beige cabinets, dark gray countertops, and greige tile floor made this kitchen feel dark and dreary. The little counterspace available was taken up by appliances, leaving no space to prep or cook meals. This family needed more practical storage, improved kitchen functionality, and more counter space to meet their needs.

After renovation

A kitchen island that saves space

At the very first meeting, the Venditti family expressed that they wanted a spacious kitchen with an island. To bring this vision to life, the Verified Contractors installed a large island with a white stone top, providing an abundance of space to cook and eat meals. Appliances that used to live on the old countertops are now housed in convenient sliding drawers or integrated directly into the island.

Perfect combination

This modern kitchen was well thought out, from the stone countertops and white shaker cabinets to the island’s dark cabinets and square silver handles. The stunning pendant lights brighten up the space and tie the room together to create true elegance.
