The Thomas family opted for a turnkey kitchen renovation as they had a goal in mind: they wanted to create a functional & modern space that can also remain timeless in the years to come. The home, built in 1950, had many small, secluded spaces. It was thus important for the family to create a more open and freeing space to better fit their needs. Tearing down the wall between the kitchen and the living room surely made a big difference in the kitchen’s overall feel. It allowed for more light, all while making the home’s interior seem much bigger.

The rather small multi-coloured cabinets have been replaced by white cabinets that extend all the way to the ceiling (a great way to make the most of their space!). To add a luxurious feel to the kitchen, the homeowners opted for a white and grey quartz countertop. They also got grey tiles for the flooring and white tiling for the backsplash. Lighting was also completely reworked. An electrician was called in in order to install recessed lighting on the ceiling and lights under the cabinets. To make sure the entire look of the kitchen was complete, the Thomas family also got new appliances.

The project was completed with the help of a kitchen designer that kept the homeowner’s needs and desires in mind to deliver something they’d love. The designer changed the entire layout of the kitchen for it to be more functional and ergonomic for the homeowners. The back door was replaced by a patio door to allow more light to make its way into the house. With plans in hand, the Verified Contractor that worked on this project knew just what to do to transform the kitchen.
