Two bathrooms are better than one
This condo apartment is a core part of a century building located in the heart of Montreal on Sherbrooke Street. Although nothing was wrong with its present layout, the owners dreamed of making different use of the space and an addition of a full bathroom. They wanted to tear down part of the master bathroom and convert it into two adjacent bathrooms, both 8 feet by 16 feet, designed for maximum ease of use and space. To bring their bathroom transformation to life, this family was looking for a trusted professional who would listen to what they had in mind and provide them with high-quality service. So they reached out to RenoAssistance for support through all stages of their project and to be referred to a Verified Contractor in our network.
Light au naturel!
Bringing natural light into their brand new bathroom (number two) was a must for the couple. So when they wanted to renovate this windowless room where no window could be installed, they had to move in another direction. The addition of two skylights here solves that issue and allows exceptional light to mingle with the recessed ceiling lights that cast a soft glow over the space. The walls of the glass shower are covered in 12 x 24 Mood porcelain tiles. Their subdued ecru colour sharply contrasts with the classic black hardware.
Oh so chic black and white
Some demolition work was required and the plumbing had to be moved to create this addition of a full bathroom (number two). The owners wanted a second on-trend bathroom in a minimalist style. They chose a white sink set on an elegant black stone counter fitted with gorgeous faucets. Noble and sustainable granite, ceramic and wood were the materials of choice for this project. A wise decision which helps the future you too since the return on investment for bathroom renovation costs can reach as high as 75%[1] when it comes time to sell.

A coordinated style
The contractor took out a closet wall to expand this full master bathroom (number one). A majestic freestanding bathtub sits next to an accent wall painted SICO’s Restful Green while an Italian shower is nestled in a corner. Wooden accents are prominently featured in this space and complement the double floating vanity. The owners decided on cream-coloured 24 x 24 Meraki porcelain tile to redo the floor and picked gray-tinted porcelain tile for the shower walls. Sandy shades and the presence of tasteful wood creates a spa-like atmosphere.
