The Laperrière family needed to get their home’s detached garage renewed. Located on the South Shore of Montreal, the 32 x 12 garage desperately needed a new look.
Given that the home was built in 1929, it was of utmost importance to perpetuate the historic richness of the city. The new garage was therefore built according its building heritage rules, which meant needing to work with specific materials. The chosen elements, like the orange brick, the embellished parapet wall, the marquise and the garage door, match perfectly with their home.
The new build was designed and planned by a technologist with the help of a structural engineer. The renovation work, on the other hand, was completed by one of our Verified Contractors.
There was a lot of work involved in this project. The contractor needed to demolish the entire garage, excavate, framing and concrete pouring, put in insulation, build the roof, install the brick siding, put in french doors on the side and a garage door in the front, and more!
There’s no doubt the that final result is exquisite! The new garage is certainly going to embellish and fortify the neighbourhood’s aesthetic.
