Industrial over classic
Ah, bathroom renovation projects. They often conjure images of the classic white at-home-spa look, but, if you want to deviate from the norm, consider an industrial style bathroom. Exposed brick walls, cement tiles, glass showers, polished wood… this popular trend encourages homeowners to mix and match materials to create a truly unique aesthetic!
Of course, contrasting colours, textures, metals, and light fixtures were all elements the Lachance family hoped to have in their bathroom renovation. Once the final design was nailed down, our Verified Contractors took it upon themselves to make it a reality. The entire space was demolished: the tiles, toilet, shower, and podium bath were removed to create a new look!
Sleek and elegant style
This bathroom renovation began with repairing the plumbing and the wall behind the original bathtub. Once the encaustic cement tiles were installed, the bathroom really started to take form. The walls were brushed over with a smooth grey paint, both matching the flowing flooring and complementing the overall industrial style.
Naturally, the space wouldn’t be complete without a touch of texture. Enter this gorgeous classic white wood finish vanity and chic black countertop with matching backsplash. The final missing piece? A sleek freestanding oval bathtub, the epitome of relaxation.
Playing with depth and contrast
When thinking of a bathroom renovation, most people picture something clean, white, and basic. However, you can still create an at-home spa with an alternative aesthetic. As seen in this project, the crucial elements of industrial style are hints of rustic wood and metal. The combination adds warmth to the coldness of the concrete tile.
The minimalist design is beautifully elevated by the contrasting décor and colours. The client couldn’t be happier with the guidance RenoAssistance provided them with for their industrial bathroom project.
