The Henry family first got in touch with us to get the party wall they shared with their neighbours redone. It was a few years already that the shared wall started to show signs of deterioration and started to attract unwanted animals. The owners of this townhouse decided to take matters into their own hands. Since they chose to fix their home (built in 1912) they chose to kill two birds with one stone: upgrade and modernize their landscaping too!
To keep its cachet, the little wall was completely redone with natural stone. The chosen Verified Contractor began the project by excavating the wall’s surrounding area, install a geo-textile membrane – which he covered with stone – to then build a solid foundation on top. An ornamental fence was then installed to give the space a sleek and sturdy look.
In accordance with an architectural landscaper’s plans, other jobs got done in the homeowner’s yard, including:
- putting up the flat stone walls to create sections within the yard
- building the treated wood balcony
- setup up the terrace with modular garden slabs, and
- preparing the flower beds.
A irrigation system was also installed, the peat was installed, the shed was relocated & installed on concrete slabs, and a treated wood fence was built on the left side of the house.
For the front lawn, the entryway’s asphalt was redone, a drain was installed, and new peat was also installed – providing the property with a new and refreshed look.
The clients truly enjoyed having the help a Renovation Advisor throughout the duration of their project & are in love with the final result!
