Desire to host at home
For Émilie and Philippe, a couple who enoy get-togethers, it was a big deal to expand the kitchen and add a solarium in their bungalow in Deux-Montagnes. Here is their answer to create a welcoming space where they can host their circle in a more contemporary setting.
Pre-renovations
Before the renovations, the owners had some space issues: their old kitchen with brown cabinets was too narrow to comfortably host more than four people. Their renovation project, which also included the addition of a four-season solarium, was designed to transform their home into a gathering place.
Post-renovations
Hello modernity
The work carried out by a RenoAssistance Verified Contractor breathed new life into the space and resulted in a more modern kitchen! Its white cabinets increase the brightness and slim handles add a touch of elegance. There is now an island in the centre with a double sink and generous work surface. The unobstructed view opens onto the solarium, which doubles as the dining room.
A space for any occasion
The room is designed to adapt to the couple’s needs. They want it to be a multi-functional space. Gatherings can be easily organized in the open concept, whether it’s around the island or the large wood table. Émilie is delighted with the increased space.
Let light and nature in
Sunlight floods the dining room now that ample windows have been installed. The duo feels connected to nature, even indoors. They think the new windows are the showpiece of this renovation as it gives them a clear view of their yard filled with mature trees. “The added brightness is my favourite part!” the client enthusiastically told us.
Hassle-free experience
Émilie particularly appreciated the support they received from Youssef Rachidi, the renovation advisor in charge of their project, who she described as being very reassuring. She also emphasized the key role of the contractor who answered all their questions and addressed their concerns. The process was both positive and successful, so much so that the owners are dreaming about what they want to renovate next!
“It was a real pleasure to work with Philippe and Émilie. The goal was for them to have a memorable and pleasant experience. Mission accomplished!”
– Youssef Rachidi, renovation advisor
