A new workshop for vision artisans
When the owner of Lunetterie Brassard retired, optometrist Anabel Trempe decided to take over the business by joining forces with the REGARD ACTION cooperative, a group of independent optometrists and optician-owners across Quebec. Lunetterie Brassard thus becomes La fabrique optique in Repentigny and continues to offer a full range of services, from professional eye care to personalized styling for frame selection.
A new facility to house La fabrique optique has been set up in the Des Moulins district by a Verified Contractor member of the RénoAssistance network.
Before construction
To match the company’s brand image, and due to the dilapidated state of the premises, the management found a new location for the eyewear business. They chose a vacant space in a commercial building close to major arteries and Highway 40.
“We asked ourselves whether we should stay in the old premises,” says Vincent Leung-Tack, Director of Operations at Regard Action and the person responsible for carrying out the work on the corporate stores. “It was agreed that we should transform the image of the old eyewear store to bring it into line with the concept of La fabrique optique.” The contractor selected for the project touched on every aspect of a complete eyewear fitting-out: from the consultation rooms to the showroom, including structural reinforcements, lighting fixtures, the reception desk and more. It must be said that La fabrique optique eyewear stores are more than just places to buy frames. They’re also eye care service centers where you can talk to eye care professionals.
There was a lot of work to be done, and the customer benefited from the invaluable support of RénoAssistance Account Manager Louise Léonard. “Through all our discussions, it was the simplicity of communication with Louise that facilitated the project,” enthuses Mr. Leung-Tack. “We had support from A to Z.”
After construction
The result is impressive! The combination of natural tones with the materials used creates a serene atmosphere that will appeal to customers. The space has been ergonomically designed so that eyecare professionals can concentrate on their work. And what can we say about the commercial melamine displays, which showcase the many trendy frames! The warm light provided by the lighting fixtures allows those trying on frames to see themselves at their best.
A clean, modern look
The premises benefit from large windows that let in an abundance of natural light. Everything has been done to optimize the customer experience. As you enter the eyewear store, you’ll notice the professional image projected by the sleek, modern décor.
Complete support with RénoAssistance
The guidance provided by the RénoAssistance Commercial team throughout the process was reassuring. “The world of construction and renovation is unknown to us, so it can be scary at first,” says Vincent in the video below. “Will we be on time and on budget? Following our experience with RénoAssistance, we can say yes, in addition to being well supported.”
Vincent Leung-Tack concludes with a figure of speech to sum up the project: “I would draw this parallel between the project and my profession. At first, my vision was blurred. However, as the collaboration with the contractor proposed by RénoAssistance and Louise progressed, I gained clarity and sharpness. The end result is phenomenal; we’re completely satisfied.”
New premises for La fabrique optique in collaboration with RénoAssistance
La fabrique optique has two eyewear stores on Montreal’s North Shore. RénoAssistance’s support now facilitates the branding process at their premises. Marilena Tricarico went to meet them in this video that traces the completion of this project in Repentigny.
