Built in 1840, this home in the Plateau neighbourhood of Montreal needed to be updated with modern finishes to meet the needs of the homeowners. The bathroom was just one part of the overall modern style brought to this heritage home.
Despite the small footprint of the room, which is very typical of homes of that era, the space was renovated to optimize the space. Going for a stackable washer and dryer, a tub with straight and clean lines, and a sink integrated into the vanity. Some of the original brick wall was preserved, but painted white to fit in with the modern and airy style of the bathroom. The addition of a glass wall between the tub and toilet adds character and division between the two areas. A small wood shelf was added near the window for a touch of warmth to the all-white space.
All the renovations were proudly carried out by a Verified Contractor.
