Can I take out a wall to enlarge my kitchen and alter the layout?
First check if the wall is load bearing. Call in an engineer to perform a load calculation and determine if you’ll need another support to replace the one you want to remove. It’s best to get all the information up front because, if the wall can’t be removed, it could have a drastic impact on both your project budget and the layout.
How long can a kitchen renovation take?
From the time the kitchen is torn out, it should normally take about 3 to 4 weeks. Keep in mind that cabinetry takes 6 to 8 weeks to manufacture, so selections and orders need to be completed in advance to respect the schedule.
Is a kitchen renovation a good investment?
