Bathroom Trends 2024
Comforting curved shapes
Pursue fluid, wavy lines to create a warm and authentic atmosphere in the bathroom. Pick sleek faucets, then wash basins and mirrors with rounded contours.
Large spaces, large tiles
Bathroom walls and floors flow seamlessly together with virtually invisible grout lines. Oversized ceramic tiles are in vogue and bring a look as sleek as it is easy to maintain. Now is the time to give this modern style a go and revel in the elegance of the XXL format.
Wood-inspired ceramic
This ceramic trend steals the show and for good reason: it exudes warmth and visual harmony. This year, we’re using tiles that imitate thin wooden slats and coordinating them with accessories in similar shades.

Frequently asked questions
What is the role of a structural engineer?
A structural engineer plays a very important role in any renovation or construction project that involve load calculations and structural work. Whether residential or commercial, they will generally follow a pre-established sequence for projects: plan, conceptualize, develop, design and manage.
What is the purpose of a load calculation?
A load calculation is used to verify whether the structure of a building can accommodate additional weight or load, such as the addition of a second storey. It’s also used to check that the retaining beams and columns of a property are still in good condition and supporting well. This load-bearing calculation assesses the stress that the structure can withstand. It may also be required if you want to remove a load-bearing wall, modify partitions, change the roof (for a green roof, for example), renovate the frame, or replace the exterior cladding with brick or other masonry work.
Is it necessary to hire an engineer to add or renovate a balcony?
Whether it’s for a house, condominium or apartment building, when you want to add a balcony or modify the structure of an existing balcony, you’ll need an engineer’s recommendation on the type of structure to add. The engineer will also instruct the contractor on how to carry out the work. If it’s only a repair then you won’t need such expertise, but anytime you need to change the structure or rebuild a new balcony, it’s essential.
“I am here to help you with your project and to refer you to the best contractors and structural engineer.”
